Supplements

You've probably already seen a person take a protein shaker in the changing room after strength training. Is it dope? Not at all ! It feeds just after exercise with food dehydrated powder to optimize its recovery. It is true that it is not convenient to bring a bowl of chicken and rice at the gym !

It should not be confused doping and food supplements. Food supplements are not the doping products even if it is true they are often regarded, wrongly, as doping or cheating by the general public. Frankly, everything in powder or capsule scared and is often likened to doping.

Anyway, do not be afraid of food supplements, but this does not prevent you to read labels and ask for advices.
Supplements fight against deficiencies (1/10 of the adult population is deficient in vitamin D, iron 1/5 of women), and will compensate sporting activities, help to lose or gain weight, relieve pain , etc.

Do you need supplements?

All nutrients are in the food we eat. But some supplements can help you improve your performance, recover quicker or you greatly facilitate life for their convenience.

It is true they are not essential, but it would be stupid to deny the advances and discoveries in terms of nutrition. However, remember that your food choices throughout your life will have much more impact on performance and health as some supplements taken isolation.

If you eat poorly and unbalanced, supplements will not help you to overcome the dietary mistakes repeated over and over again. They will potentiate your results but do not expect amazing effects on your physical or your performance, it's not magic products!
